Definitions
"Company" refers to LG Light Haulage LTD. "Customer" refers to any individual or entity entering into an agreement with the Company for the provision of services. "Goods" refers to any items transported by the Company on behalf of the Customer, including but not limited to cars, boats, caravans, and small plant/machinery. "Services" refers to the haulage and delivery services provided by the Company. "Proof of Delivery" (POD) refers to documentation signed by the recipient confirming delivery of Goods. "Public Highway" refers to roads maintained at the public expense.
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
By engaging the Company’s Services, the Customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Proof of Delivery
The Company will obtain a Proof of Delivery upon delivery of the Goods. The POD will serve as conclusive evidence that the Goods have been delivered in good condition unless otherwise stated on delivery.
Payments and Charges
Payments must be made within 14 days of the collection of any goods unless otherwise stated in writing. Charges are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
Damage to Property
The Company will take all reasonable care to prevent damage to property while providing Services. The Company is not responsible for any damage caused to property that occurs off the Public Highway. The Customer must ensure that the drop-off area is suitable for truck and trailer access. The Company will not be liable for any damage caused due to unsuitable access areas.
Failed Delivery or Collection
If the Company is unable to deliver or collect Goods due to the Customer’s failure to provide adequate access or information, additional charges may apply. The Company will make reasonable efforts to contact the Customer to rearrange delivery or collection.
Invoice Queries
Any queries regarding invoices must be raised within 24 hours of the invoice date. Any query raised after this period will be considered invalid. The Company will investigate any disputes and provide a response within 24 hours.
Insurance and Liability
The Company is insured for Goods in transit as follows: - Cars: up to £100,000 - Boats, caravans, and small plant/machinery: up to £50,000. The Company's liability for loss or damage to Goods is limited to the insured amounts specified above.
General Provisions
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Company and the Customer. Any amendments or modifications to these Terms and Conditions must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
